The AJC Peachtree Road Race has distinguished itself as one of the premier Fourth of July traditions in Atlanta with its festive atmosphere, scenic city course and beloved finisher’s T-shirt. Organized by the Atlanta Track Club, the event attracts runners of all ages and paces eager to take part in the Fourth of July tradition. Below is general information that you will find useful for race day:

Instructions:
As part of our green certification with the Council for Responsible Sport, we will be utilizing virtual participant instructions for the 2013 AJC Peachtree Road Race. These instructions will be posted in this location and will also be sent via the Peach Bytes email and the virtual race bag.
Location:
The AJC Peachtree Road Race starts in Buckhead near Lenox Square Mall and ends in Piedmont Park.
Start Time:
- The wheelchair race begins at 6:45 a.m.
- The women's professional division begins at 7:17 a.m.
- The men's professional division and the footrace begins at 7:30 a.m.
Getting to the Race:
Event participants and spectators are strongly encouraged to take MARTA. MARTA will begin running at 5 a.m. on race day. It is a convenient and inexpensive way to travel to and from the AJC Peachtree Road Race. Runners are encouraged to use the Lenox station for the start and the Midtown or Art Center station for the finish.

T-shirts and Awards:
All finishers will receive a 2013 AJC Peachtree Road Race T-shirt.
Course:
The course starts at Lenox Square and travels down Peachtree to 10th Street in Midtown.

Water Stations:
Water stops are located at every mile along the 6.2-mile course.
June Water Stop for Training Runs:
During the month of June, Atlanta Track Club volunteers will be providing water at a station near the halfway point on the course, just past Peachtree Batttle in front of Benihana. This is a great opportunity to test the course prior to the event. The water station will be available every Saturday and Sunday in June from 7 a.m.- 10a.m..
